Room for the Car

This goal of rePURPOSEing this room was to return it to its intended use - as a garage to house a car - and reclaim if from its use as an overflow space for the owner’s many projects and interests.

Items were evaluated, the owner took decisive action on what had to go and what remained was re-organized, packed and shelved for quick retrieval.

During


Ninety minutes later the chairs were accessible for a refinishing project and the special occasion dishware protected, labeled, easy to find and ready to go for the next special event.

Fold your sheet sets together and place them inside one of the pillow cases. It looks neater and corrals and compresses the sheets so you can store more in the same space.

Re-gifting is Responsible

Just because this Christmas you made a commitment to go lightly - giving the single perfect present to those you gift - doesn’t mean your family and friends did the same thing. Chances are you received at least one gift that doesn’t fit your life style or your space. What to do? Remember a gift is a gift; it is yours to do with as you wish. With the current “green” living trend it is permissible, and even desirable, to pass your gift on to someone who will make better use of it than you.

Don’t undo all the progress you have made to live with less and don’t feel guilty. Box up that sweater, game, or book and pass on the love.
